dlcokropportunityforageoplelcogcnche Category:Poetry by William Butler YeatsMaryland Route 514 Maryland Route 514 (MD 514) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known as Garretts Mill Road, the state highway runs from MD 641 north to MD 374 near Malbay in southern Garrett County. MD 514 is a secondary highway for its entire length. The state highway was constructed in two sections, one between downtown Malbay and Garretts Mill and the other between Garretts Mill and MD 374. The state highway was relocated through Garretts Mill in the mid-1960s to bypass the town and alleviate congestion. MD 514 was designated along the highway, including the bypass, in 1972. Route description MD 514 begins at an intersection with MD 641 (Cambria Road) in the hamlet of Malbay. The state highway heads northeast through a mix of farmland and woodland as Garrett Mill Road. The state highway intersects two county highways, county route 11 (Blairsville–Winfield Road) and county route 22 (Station Road), before reaching an intersection with US 220 (Blue Ridge Highway) at the northern edge of Garretts Mill. US 220 leads north and east toward Hagerstown and south toward Washington. MD 514, which includes the county highways, continues east through farmland to the community of Garretts Mill. The state highway curves to the north again and crosses the Middle Cove Creek and Garretts Mill Creek before it reaches its northern terminus at MD 374 (Rochester Road). MD 514 is a two-lane road for its entire length. The state highway is maintained by the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA). History MD 514 was constructed as a secondary highway between downtown Malbay and Garretts Mill in two segments. The first segment was constructed south from MD 641 and north on Garretts Mill Road to a point just north of the southern end of MD 374 (now MD 374). This section of the highway was designated MD 514 in 1922. The second segment of the highway was constructed in 1956 and 1957 to bypass the town of Garretts Mill. The state highway was relocated to the north of the town, including a relocated town center and bypass, and to the south of the town, including a new town center. In the early 1960s, the
